This place near the city port was devastated in the Second World War and with years became neglected. It badly needed to be repaired. So the architect started working…
A beautiful marble staircase stretched along the new city coast Nova Riva. There are 35 pipes of different diameter hidden under the steps. The waves interact with it and create special unforgettable sounds.

It is a unique organ, the music of which is played by the sea. The waves expel air from the pipes, so the sounds depend on their force, direction and altitude. The music is infinite and never sounds the same. Only the sea can play organ like this!

Nova Riva becomes more and more popular. Not only the tourists, but also the locals like to spend their time on marble steps and listen to the music of the sea.
