Due to the latest outbreak of Coronavirus lots of countries have faced a sudden shortage of toilet paper. Empty shelves in the supermarkets all over the world may really cause panic and a desire to get more and more of this strategic product. But do we really need as much of it as we buy now?
Most of us are just unable to determine the quantity of toilet paper needed for quarantine: statistics says, that the average user has it 500% more than they need! And this could have become the main reasons of rush and queues in the supermarkets, when aside from food hundreds of rolls were bought that caused catastrophic shortage and empty shelves. So and artist Sam Harris and a software developer Ben Sassoon decided to change the situation and created an online calculator which would help people to solve the main problem.
According to the authors of the idea, sliders alter the amount of toilet rolls you have and the amount of times you go to the toilet everyday. There are also advanced settings which alter wipes per trip, sheets per wipe, sheets on roll and the length of your quarantine. This service has already been used by over 5,000,000 people, and this number constantly increases.
